Ceud Mìle Fàilte, A hundred thousand welcomes was the greeting we received when we started to holiday here on South Uist some years ago, and now as owners of Heron Point, it's the welcome we wish to extened to visitors to our bed and breakfast.
Whether it's just for a night at the beginning of your holiday or a longer stay or night before your return to the mainland the welcome is the same.
We are just a mile and half from the ferry at Lochboisdale and we take delight in being able to offer to pick up foot passengers by prior arrangement.
Our well appointed and well furnished rooms come with their own private sole use shower/bathroom. Linen is complimented with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Jasper (our cross Springer/Labrador) and Skye (Labrador) greet new dog friends, as long as they bring fully house trained owners with them !
We are conviently located for The Borrodale Hotel and Lochboisdale Hotel which both offer a full range of bar meals and A La Carte menus for your evening meals, or why not do it your self and have a B-B-Q on our patio. Beautiful sandy beaches are just 10 mins away by car, and provisions can be bought at the local Co-op.
Top class Wild Brown / Sea Trout and Salmon fishing can be arranged through a local Ghillie, and ask Andy, if he's not out fishing himself, for spots to go and catch that Mackerel for your tea.
Heron Point is open all year round with the exception of Christmas and we are delighted also to welcome long term guests.
